📋 Full Terms & Conditions

1. Limitation of Liability: Robinson Rewind will take all reasonable care to handle, process, and transfer your media. However, we are not responsible for any damage, loss, or destruction of items before, during, or after the shipping process. We highly recommend using secure shipping methods with tracking and insurance when sending items to our facility.
2. Media Quality Disclaimer: You acknowledge that due to the age, condition, and quality of the original media, Robinson Rewind cannot guarantee the quality of the transferred digital files. Tapes, film reels, cassettes, or photos with mold, deterioration, magnetic damage, or other degradation may result in poor digital output quality, despite our best professional efforts and equipment.
3. Film Fragility Warning: 8mm and Super8 film reels are extremely fragile and can break easily during handling, inspection, or transfer. Decades-old film may be brittle, have vinegar syndrome, broken splices, or deteriorated adhesive. While we use professional-grade equipment and techniques, film breakage can occur even with proper handling. You accept full responsibility for this inherent risk.
4. Mold & Damage Acknowledgment: You understand that film reels and tapes with mold, water damage, or physical deterioration may require extra remediation services, and additional charges may apply beyond the initial estimate. We will notify you before performing any remediation work beyond the standard transfer process and obtain your approval for additional costs.
5. Shipping & Handling: If you are shipping your items to us, Robinson Rewind is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to your media during shipping to our facility. All shipping costs to our facility are your responsibility. Return shipping costs are as selected during your order process. Free pick-up and drop-off services are only available within Wyoming County, PA, and must be pre-arranged by phone or email.
6. Ownership & Licensing: You represent and warrant that you are the legal owner of the media you submit for transfer and that you have the right to request and authorize its duplication or transfer to a digital format. You agree to hold Robinson Rewind harmless from any copyright or ownership disputes.
7. Data Retention: We will store your digital files on our servers for a maximum of 30 days after project completion, after which time you must either download the files or purchase extended storage services. Robinson Rewind is not responsible for storing or retaining digital files beyond this 30-day period without separate payment for extended storage services.
8. Payment Terms: Full payment or approved deposit is required before work begins. For deposit orders, remaining balance is due before digital files are released or physical media is returned. All sales are final once work has begun.
9. Completion Timeline: Standard turnaround is 7-14 business days from receipt of media. Rush services available for additional fee. Timelines may be extended for damaged media requiring repair work.
10. Privacy & Confidentiality: We respect your privacy and will not view, copy, or share your personal content beyond what is necessary to complete the transfer service. Your media content remains private and confidential.
